Today, it challenges us to consider how we think about ecology and the relationship between urban and rural areas, how we take into account the symbolism of places, how we inhabit them and respect their poetry without placing (or forcing) neutral \u2013 or fetishistic \u2013 objects or architecture that can be transposed anywhere, disconnected from their environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasemaineduson.be\/en\/event\/vernissage-lavallee\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sound installation <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ch\u00f4ra<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a choir of balloons, filled with the air of the place. Their skin vibrates to the sound of white noise. This sound material is primary: it is found in natural elements such as the sound of waves, the wind, the breathing of mammals&#8230; This installation invites us to observe: always fragile in its environment, whether urban or vegetal, it creates a contrast with it and at the same time opens us up to the sensitive dimension of each place. It is up to each observer to dream, to let themselves reflect and travel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>***<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeanphilippevelu.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jean-Philippe Velu<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeanphilippevelu.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">,<\/a> both architect and acousmatic composer, offers a transdisciplinary approach in his work. He questions our relationship with our real, imaginary and sound spaces. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.archisonies.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">His acousmatic pieces<\/a> have been programmed at various festivals. He has created sound shows and performances for venues and edited a collection on the relationship between Space, Sound and Society (Delatour France).
