Using contact microphones attached to the carriage, a mixing table and effects, the vibrations and frequencies produced by the metro are modulated in real time to create an immersive composition. This work proposes a poetic reinterpretation of an everyday gesture\u2014the journey between two stations\u2014 transforming public space into a musical instrument as well as a place for communal listening.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A hybrid work between performance and soundwalk, it explores our relationship to listening, the city, and the perception of movement, imagining new ways of experiencing the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">***<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dianaduta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Diana Duta<\/strong><\/a> is a sound artist who explores our relationship with echoic memory, the more-than-human, and the act of listening as a generator of new models of being in the world.
