{"id":9326,"date":[1178],"date_gmt":"2024-12-07T22:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lasemaineduson.be\/?post_type=event&#038;p=9326"},"modified":"2025-01-04T02:25:55","modified_gmt":"2025-01-04T01:25:55","slug":"improvisation-workshop-seijiro-murayama","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.lasemaineduson.be\/en\/event\/improvisation-workshop-seijiro-murayama\/","title":{"rendered":"Improvisation workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workshop : 30.01 &#8211; 16:00 &gt; 20:00 <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Performance : 30.01 &#8211; 20:30<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This workshop, open to anyone who wants to catch the core of improvisation practice, proposes two main ideas which have been gradually conceived through Seijiro\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">workshops since 2005 and propose a new vision on improvisation and contribute to all types of improvisation practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His main proposals revolve around :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Walking exercises with vocal sounds that clarify the spontaneous but at the same time risky activities of improvisation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exercises to deepen solo playing<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Different situations of collective improvisation based on first exercises<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A collective presentation, open to the public, will take place at the end of the workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>\u00b0\u00b0\u00b0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Seijiro Murayama<\/strong>&#8216;s artistic activities consist of improvisation practice, interdisciplinary <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">collaborations (with choreography, plastic art, theater, performance) and workshops on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">improvisation. He began his career with Keiji Haino in Japan in 1982 and now works in France since 1999. As a musician-improviser, he has collaborated with artists like Jean-Luc Guionnet, Axel D\u00f6rner, Eric La Casa, Klaus Filip, Hugo Abraham, Roger F\u00e4hndrich. He mainly uses drums and voice and has created some fifty albums, two of which are dedicated to electroacoustic composition.
