Played through the air, it is sensitive to interferences and atmospheric variations such as rain, storm, drought&#8230;Like John Cage&#8217;s prepared piano, Florence Cats prepares the electromagnetic field between herself, her instrument and the space in situ, playing with the Earth connection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b0\u00b0\u00b0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Florence Cats<\/strong> (Be, 1985) work is a line of flight through music,\u00a0 sound, visual art, writing and acupuncture.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A travelling antenna, tuned to a given space and time. She released &#8220;We are now approaching Mo i Rana&#8221; on Ftarri\u00a0 label ( hitorri, 2024), &#8220;YS&#8221; on Edi\u00e7oes CN (2022) and\u00a0 Correspondances on Frissons (2021).\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected in 2023 as an emerging sound artist (Emerging Sound Showcase) with her prepared theremin, she collaborates on numerous projects. In\u00a0 2024 she founded the concert and transversal event series \u2018eye.ear\u2019 (2024).
