Flautist Lieve De Sadeleer, accordionist Suzan Peeters and sound artist Jeroen Uyttendaele each explore the limits of their own instrument in their own personal way. Through his sound installation; \u201cTabling\u201d, Jeroen Uyttendaele investigates resonance properties of different materials such as glass, metal and ceramics. The installation that consists of three metal speakers acts as a large sound filter in which sound travels through different materials and sound chambers. This creates complex harmonic soundscapes. The installation is driven by Suzan Peeters and Lieve De Sadeleer, who control the installation and overall soundscape.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b0\u00b0\u00b0<\/p>\n

Suzan Peeters<\/strong> is a Belgian accordeonist, composer, and experimentalist.\u00a0 She is constantly looking for new sound textures within the accordeon, pushing its acoustic spectrum to its limits by manipulating the interplay between her body and the body of her instrument.\u00a0 Suzan studied classical accordion at KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent and at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. She is currently studying Live Electronics at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Lieve De Sadeleer<\/strong> is a recorder player, electronic sound artist and composer with a love for blending the old with the new. With roots in both early music and electronic music, she\u2019s constantly pushing their boundaries, exploring and developing her own unique style. Her work is all about exploration\u2014whether it’s discovering the sweet spot where performance meets installation or finding common ground between classical, contemporary, and experimental music.<\/span> She is co-founder and artistic coordinator of the recorder ensemble Delle Donne Consort, with which she performs both nationally and internationally.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Jeroen Uyttendaele<\/strong> develops audio-visual installations, instruments and sound compositions. He investigates tangible and transparent forms of electronic music and sound performance often in dialogue with visual and spatial elements. He is co-founder of <\/span>iiinitiative<\/span><\/a><\/em>, an artist run platform specialised in inventing new instruments and presentation formats that engage with the four dimensions of image, sound, space and the body.
