La Semaine du Son is pleased to announce a new film scoring competition! Every year, La Semaine du Son selects the best original score created for an excerpt from a silent film. For this next edition, we’ve chosen an abstract and poetic film by Ma\u00ef Calon, A Silent Sound (2021).<\/p>\n
Search your sound archives, imagination and creative spirit to create a surprising new work for the silent version of the film! The ten best entries will be screened at Flagey during La Semaine du Son, followed by an awards ceremony.<\/p>\n
Who can enter?<\/strong><\/p>\n Anyone interested in sound, image and movement; no particular professional experience is required to enter this competition. A jury made up of people with different interests and experience will judge all entries anonymously.<\/p>\n How to enter?<\/strong><\/p>\n Send an e-mail to lasemaineduson.deweekvandeklank@gmail.com<\/a> with the subject “Participation concours sonorisation 2024” to receive the film by WeTransfer. The competition rules and entry form can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n The selected scores will be screened during La Semaine du Son 2024 in Brussels, from January 22 to 28, 2024. The winner will receive a \u20ac1500 prize offered by the Sabam for Culture.
