Since 2000, Walter Hus has been working with the Decap Orchestrion, a gigantic automated and computer-controlled installation of organs, accordions and percussion instruments, with which he manages to create a whole new world of sound.
In response to a carte blanche in the context of Son.Oor, Walter Hus now presents the world premiere of a new Concerto for String Quartet and Orchestrion, in which the Brussels-based Zenne Quartet enters into dialogue with the automated orchestrion.
Zenne Quartet: Claire Bourdet (violin), Chikako Hosoda (violin), Karel Coninx (viola) & David Poskin (cello)
