Métro léger de Charleroi

Reservations can be made from January 6th / Entry to exhibitions without reservation

~ max 20p. ~ departure at 11:00 at L’Alba

This project invites the audience to board the Charleroi light rail for a sonic journey in real-time. Using contact microphones attached to the carriage, a mixing table and effects, the vibrations and frequencies produced by the metro are modulated live to create an immersive composition. This work proposes a poetic reinterpretation of an everyday gesture—the journey between two stations—, transforming public space into a musical instrument as well as into a place for common listening.

A hybrid work between performance and soundwalk which explores our relationship to listening, the city, and the perception of movement, imagining new ways of experiencing the world.
