The electroacoustic music/acousmatic composition section of Arts²/Conservatoire Royal de Mons has invited Bertrand Dubedout to present a selection of acousmatic compositions. The programme will alternate works by the composer with pieces by current and former students of acousmatic composition at the Conservatoire.

Bertrand Dubedout studied electroacoustic composition with Pierre Schaeffer and Guy Reibel at the Paris Conservatoire, where he was awarded the Prix de composition in 1981. In 1982 he opened the electroacoustic composition class at the Toulouse Conservatoire, where he taught until 2022. His works range from instrumental and vocal music to electroacoustic and mixed music. They are performed in concert in the major countries of Europe, North America and Asia. They are published by Gérard Billaudot, Paris. Several of his CDs have been released by L’empreinte digitale, MFA – Radio France, Motus, Metamkine, Skarbo, Bis, éOle Records. He is also the founder of the instrumental music ensemble Pythagore and of the Novelum festival (with Pierre Jodlowski).
