krɑjïnɑ is a vital gathering of bark, plastic, roots, wires, stones, and integrated circuits who start to resonate, shake, feedback and tremble. Created from coastal findings of northern Portugal, analogue electronics, and motorized sonic sculptures, the work explores the notions of landscape and technology, merging a boundary between both to form a fragile ecosystem of sound and matter.
In krɑjïnɑ, Maryia Kamarova works with different levels of amplification, combining acoustic sounds with their sonified reflections. DC motors are used as audio drivers to reproduce field recordings, their tones filtered through experiments with the physical qualities of various textures.
